Scope: Interior Design

Shamwari Private Game reserve is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and is home to the Big 5. It boasts 7 lodges, each with their own unique style to cater for any travelers tastes.

Sarili:

Sarili is an exclusive private lodge offering at Shamwari Private Game Reserve. A light refurbishment gave this home away from home a fresh new look.  Interesting patterns and earthy tones were introduced to make the spaces feel warm and inviting.

The thatched property offers uninterrupted views of the game reserve and boasts 5 bedrooms – 3 that look out towards the breathtaking reserve landscape and 2 onto the garden courtyard and pool area. The open plan living room and dining area, separated by a large stone clad fireplace, extend onto a spacious deck and outdoor dining area. Furnishings were crafted at a slightly larger scale for maximum comfort and are enhanced with attention-grabbing accent pieces. Woven and rattan elements were also introduced to add more texture to the spaces and bring the grass element of the thatch into the living areas.

The guest rooms received new textured wallpapers, large leather headboards and updated lounging furniture. Each room is uniquely styled with different fabric patterns and colours, all the while maintaining the same warm and earthy feeling throughout the property.
