Scope: Concept Architecture & Interior Design
KM2K’s brief was to redesign the facades for the proposed Mina Al Arab Grand Mosque in Al Riffa. The floor plan in principal had been signed off, however, the Client was looking for something special for the facades. Realising the important nature of the project, KM2K quickly fell into step proposing not just a beautifully crafted façade, but an equally exquisite interior, with much of the architectural elements and proportions carried through from outside to within. Specific focus was made on the Jordanian limestone cladding and fenestration modules, as well as the beautiful Arabic patterns implemented on the fenestration, ceiling and dome, both externally and internally. Appropriate lighting and landscape designs were added to perfectly compliment the built structure.
